The RAIS System T252-2S Double Spindle CNC Slant Bed Lathe is engineered for manufacturers requiring maximum productivity through simultaneous machining operations. Featuring both a main spindle, sub spindle, and two independently operating tool turrets, the machine allows multiple cutting operations to be performed simultaneously, dramatically reducing production cycle times while improving overall machining efficiency.
Built on a rigid 45-degree slant bed, the T252-2S is manufactured from premium Meehanite cast iron, stress relieved to eliminate deformation and provide outstanding structural rigidity. The robust machine frame minimizes vibration during heavy cutting operations while ensuring exceptional dimensional accuracy throughout continuous production.
The machine utilizes precision P3/P-class linear guideways on the X, Z1 and Z2 axes, providing zero-clearance movement with minimal friction and excellent positioning accuracy. Precision ball screws deliver smooth axis movement with minimal backlash, while dynamically balanced cassette-type main and sub spindles provide exceptional resistance to radial and axial loads for stable high-speed machining. This combination enables excellent surface finishes and highly repeatable machining results.
Equipped with two 12-station tool turrets, the T252-2S significantly increases machining flexibility by allowing simultaneous operations on both spindles. Optional C-axis capability, Y-axis functionality, automatic tool presetting, part catcher, and bar feeding systems further expand the machine’s capabilities for complete multi-operation machining in a single setup. The result is shorter production times, reduced handling, and greater manufacturing efficiency.
Compatible with Fanuc, Fanuc 32i, Siemens 828D, and Siemens 840D CNC control systems, the T252-2S easily integrates into automated production lines. It is ideally suited for automotive components, hydraulic fittings, aerospace parts, precision engineering, medical devices, connectors, valves, and other complex turned components where productivity, precision, and unattended production are essential.
